Review: Reese’s Spreads

I saw a TV commercial for the new Reese’s Spreads months ago. It started as a USA only product but recently it’s been available in my area. As you can see from the photo, this is your standard Reese’s flavor in spread form.  I was super excited about this. I am lover of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and anything that has the word Reese’s in it.

There were different ways I wanted to try this. First I tried dipping apples into it and second I spread it on a slice of toast.

The Apples: I was worried at first that it was going to be too thick and unable to dip but I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was dip and also how tasty it was with a mix of apple flavor! I was able to get through 2 apples quite quickly.

The Toast: This was the real test because you did not have that tart Apple flavor to calm down the sweetness of the spread. First off it was very easy to spread over the toast and had a very similar texture to peanut butter. It was very similar tasting to a Reese peanut butter cup but not exact.  Still impressive for a spread.

I enjoyed both experiences very much and give this a solid 8/10
