So on Friday night we celebrated one of my best friend’s 40th., which made Saturday the perfect day to try KFC’s new Popcorn Chicken Poutine. This is exactly what you think it would be: popcorn chicken, cheese curds, fries and KFC gravy!
I’m sure allot of you over the years have probably made this yourself. I certainly know that I have. It was nice of KFC finally do a little combo with these two great staples. The combo was the poutine, cookie and pop for $5.00. You can also switch it for the chicken bowl if you wanted to.
So I broke one of the cardinal rules of poutines, which is you need to eat them at the store as typically by the time you get home it’s soggy. I felt on the way home it was almost fate that I got drive-thru because I hit every green light from KFC to home! From the photo you can see it made the trip! Once you bite in you know this is exactly how it should taste, delicious!
I was very happy with my combo except they forgot to give me the cookie! But I will get it again and hope for the cookie! I give the poutine itself a solid 9/10
