Wendy’s has a new burger and fry: the Gouda Bacon Cheeseburger and Bacon Fondue Fries. The Gouda Bacon Cheeseburger has gouda, a swiss gruyere fondue, applewood smoked bacon, a 1/4 patty all on a brioche bun. The Bacon Fondue Fries look like they have diced bacon with the swiss gruyere fondue on it.
I have to say these both look delicious. I’m a bit of a cheeseaholic, so am excited to try both of them. Anything with multiple types of cheese on it is good in my books. And really, when is the last time you saw fondue at a fast food joint? Never, that’s when!
Wendy’s has really impressed me lately with always releasing a limited time fry along side many of their limited time burgers. Most other fast food places just release new burgers with a very rare new side, like Harvey’s unique Nacho Cheese Sticks, but Wendy’s has been consistent with the new poutines and loaded fries. I can think of at least quite a few recently, the 3 pulled pork poutines, ghost pepper fries, ghost pepper poutine, bacon poutine., and I’m probably missing some. Keep it up Wendy’s!
