Review: Wendy’s Strawberry Lemonade

Wendy’s recently released their new Premium Lemonade in two flavours, traditional and strawberry.  It seemed a little odd to see a summer-y drink like lemonade come out in in the middle of the canadian weather.  But who knows, maybe they are just trying to give us a little taste of summer during the long ol’ winter.

I had a chance to pick one up while shopping the other day, so I decided to try the a medium size Strawberry Lemonade.  This thing was huge for a medium which was fine by me.  It looked great.  The clear cup helped show off the lemonade.  I could see lots of real lemon and strawberry pulp in there which gives it a more real hand made feel. I am a pulp fan though, so I liked it.  I didn’t see them make it, but I doubt it was hand squeezed.  If anyone works at Wendy’s or watched them make it, let us know in the comments.

I found the flavour really good.  It wasn’t the most sour lemonade I’ve had, I think the strawberry helped keep it a little more sweet.  I had to keep stirring it to distribute the pulp as it settled.  It was sweet and a little tangy.  I found it nice and refreshing and definitely enjoyed it.  Solid 9/10 for a new beverage.
